Studies have shown that being outdoors and surrounded by nature is good for our physical & mental health.
During lockdown I went CRAZY with indoor plants! It boosted my happiness factor when spending more time in lockdown at home. Having to spend more time at home meant that my love of outdoor spaces became the focus and attention more than ever before ( you know me I love to hike and run) was my growing interest and new passion of indoor plants! i now have over 60!
It's not a bad thing. During the day, most house plant release oxygen and they absorb carbon dioxide overnight. This helps to remove potentially harmful toxins in our home, keeping air fresher and cleaner.
NASA did a study back in 1989 to discover which plants were the best for filtering the air at the space station. They found that these plants listed had the ability to absorb contaminants like benzene + formaldehyde and that plant filtered rooms have up to 60% less airborne microbes, mould spores + bacteria. check out the research in above button.
Toss the dust collecting fake plants and fill your home these beautiful air purifying real deal ones:

Other studies suggest that houseplants can have an impact on our general wellbeing as well as improving concentration and reducing stress and help productivity.
In-depth scientific research proves house plants reduce stress levels, increase productivity, and boost mood.
And that’s why I felt inspired to share knowledge and deeper understanding of my own close relationship between plants, health and happiness. Having realised how beneficial plant care can be on our mental health first hand.
There’s a reason rehab facilities take residents out of their daily routines and into a completely new environment. When it comes to behavioural change, switching up your surroundings can be a powerful tool.
If you're feeling stuck, both mentally and physically, I encourage you to give your homes a Flora & Fauna Makeover!
